The historic 150-year-old park, located on the southwest corner of Congress and Franklin streets in Portland, Maine, has a group of friends who having been working hard for the last three years to restore the public space and its original Parisian fountain.
Shipyard is excited to support the efforts of The Friends of Lincoln Park on Thursday, September 15th by hosting a fundraising party in the Shipyard Tasting Room. From 5:30-7:30 pm join us in supporting this great local organization and hear first-hand why Friends of Lincoln Park founder, Frank Reilly, was so inspired to halt the decline of Portland’s first public green space and restore it to its original condition.
Shipyard Brew Pub Chef to Compete on Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen
Wednesday, August 10, 2016
We are proud to announce that general manager and chef of the Shipyard Brew Pub, Shipyard Commissary Kitchen, and Regatta Room, David Squillante, will be one of four guest chefs competing on the next episode of Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen.
Cutthroat Kitchen is not your typical cooking show – each contestant must not only outcook their opponents but also outwit them. In the competition show hosted by Alton Brown, each contestant is given $25,000 to spend at auctions where they can purchase opportunities to sabotage one another. The chef left standing after three rounds of elimination wins and keeps whatever money he or she has not spent on auction items.
On Thursday, June 23rd we hosted Spurwink Services' Brews & Backpacks fundraiser to help support children in crisis.
Supporters, volunteers and staff gathered outside the new Shipyard tasting room to assemble backpacks with care items for children entering foster care, child abuse treatment, and residential programs.
Guests enjoyed Shipyard beer, Capt’n Eli’s Soda, bites from Mami and Ziggy’s food trucks, and got the chance to check out the new tasting room. While having fun, over $4,000 was raised and more than 200 backpacks were assembled for kids in need!
Our Island Time is Sunday afternoons on the deck at Portland Pie Nashua, drinking beer, soaking up the sun and enjoying the Island Time Acoustic Series! Join us on the beautiful outdoor patio where we there will be live music and $3.00 Island Time IPA drafts every Sunday from 3-5pm.
We are excited to be opening our newly renovated tasting room this May. Located in the Shipyard Brewery, at 86 Newbury Street in Portland, Maine, our new tasting room is more than 3 times the size it used to be!
After knocking down some walls and opening up the bar area just beyond our gift store, we are now able to accommodate more craft beer lovers in this 1,700 square foot space.
The tasting room will host a rotating lineup of 14 beers and 6 craft sodas on draft. We will feature our core Shipyard and Sea Dog beers as well as new pilots brews, and our full portfolio of Capt’n Eli’s sodas.
We recently spent the day at Rising Tide Brewing Company brewing a new beer with our fellow East End Breweries in honor of Portland Tails’ 25th anniversary. Shipyard and Portland Trails have been long-time partners who over the last 17 years have grown Portland’s annual Trail to Ale 10K Run/Walk to over 1,500 participants.
The collaboration includes Rising Tide, Oxbow, Urban Farm Fermentory, Lone Pine, Bunker and Shipyard, with Shipyard contributing Ringwood Yeast for this moderately dry hopped English Style Pale ale.
We are excited to be teaming up with Berkshire Mountain Distillers on their newest endeavor, the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project! BMD will be distilling a multitude of different beers from a select group of craft brewers, including Shipyard’s Export Ale. The resulting whiskey, bound to be momentous, will then be aged at the distillery for an undetermined amount of time before it is released. The whiskey from the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project will be available in several states.
